Directions to KH Freiburg

Arriving by train or bus

Take the escalator or lift right from the platform to the tram stop “Hauptbahnhof” situated on the bridge (Stadtbahnbrücke) above Freiburg’s central train station. Take trams no. 1 to Littenweiler, no. 3 to Vauban or no. 5 to Rieselfeld and get off at “Bertoldsbrunnen” (2 stops).

At “Bertoldsbrunnen” take tram no. 2 to Zähringen, getting off at “Tennenbacher Straße” (2 stops).

From here, continue on foot. Turn right into Wölflinstraße (the KH Freiburg is signposted from here). Turn left into Karlstraße. Buildings 1 (Karlstraße 34) and 2 (Karlstraße 38) are on the left-hand side of Karlstraße. Building 3 is on the right-hand side (Karlstraße 63).

Arriving by car

From exit Freiburg-Nord (A5 motorway): drive towards city centre (“Stadtmitte”) on Habsburgerstraße, turn left into Jakobistraße, and then right into Karlstraße.

From exit Freiburg-Mitte (A5 motorway): urban motorway to exit “Bahnhof”, Bismarckallee, Leopoldring, turn left into Karlstraße.

From the Black Forest (B31): Schwarzwaldstraße, Leo-Wohleb-Straße, Schwabentorring, Leopoldring, Karlstraße.
